Husband left the home 95 days ago. I want a divorce.?

by Bonnie S

Married 26 yrs. We have no assets, no shared bills, no combined bk acct. Had no kids, and don't want spousal support. Only my name back. Can I get a cheap divorce? I think he is shacked up with the next true love. Live in Pa and cannot afford an attorney. I was a homemaker most of those years. My thanks for alot of care and devotion. Not even a gold watch...wow.

It's quite easy to go to your county's courthouse (or even download them from online) and get the divorce paperwork. If you're able to read, you should be able to easy fill these papers out yourself. The courts can not give you any legal advice, but they can help you through the steps. If you are filing an uncontested divorce, you can go to a document preparation center where they will fill in the paperwork - all you have to do is take it to the courthouse. That will cost around $300.

WOWis the correct word for that, amongst a few others. Yes get a divorce. he not and seems never have been worth it. I myself have not gone through that but my mother had, for 18 years, not a gold watchnot even a silver ring, to put on her finger. But she is now happier than ever. She is her own woman, and works and gets the finer things in life she never could before. She never married again, or even considered a boyfriend. Once i asked her, if she regretted giving so much of her life and getting nothing back she told meEven though it took her 18 years to find out, there IS much happiness to life You have to want it,and go find it.Pick yourself up by your boot straps and move on.

Your divorce will not be nearly as raunchy or expensive as other divorces because you don't really have any assets or children involved, so it should be a smooth process. My suggestion for you is that you go to downtown to a local court house and present to them that you're interested in getting a divorce. They can give you a set of papers or you can download them offline but for verification purpose you should check that everything is correctly coordinated. Also, remember that in order for a divorce to be complete your husband will have to sign the papers as well.

Check with one of these places that offer legal documents and 'kits' that you can file yourself. I don't know how it works in your state, but in Nevada, you can file one of these kits as long as everything is in agreement or very smiplified (as yours seems to be). You pay a fee to file the papers and the divorce is processed. Sorry. Divorce is miserable even when it is the best option.
